The Continuing Education team works closely together to ensure the success of our students, putting significant effort into each and every one of our students. As you will see from reading the staff bios, our staff are also interesting people who enjoy life in the East Kootenays.

Becky is in charge of the Rocky Mountain Learning Centre in Radium Hotsprings. She is the Learning @ Home teacher and specializes in PE and Distributed Learning. She enjoys all outdoor activities, summer and winter.

Tom teaches at KETC and looks after the Adult Dogwood program as well as Grade 8 to 12 Programs for regular Dogwood Graduation. He enjoys camping, canoeing and photography. His specialties are Earth Sciences, Social Studies and English.

Dan teaches in the Kimberley Youth Program. He is an avid skier and climber and loves spending time in the Rockies. Dan developed this website for Continuing Education.

Charlie is a Math and Science teacher at the Rocky Mountain Distributed Learning School. He really enjoys the thrill of mountain biking in the Kootenays and staying in good shape competing in triathlons.

Wendy works at Kimberley Alternate School and supports students academically and emotionally to help them prepare for the real world. In her spare time, she volunteers at the train station and loves to walk her Newfoundland dog ‘Lucas.’

Audrey is the lone secretary for Rocky Mountain Continuing Education. She looks after Adult Education, Kimberley Youth Program, Distributed Learning School and the Sport School. She enjoys church activities, typing for others, fishing, camping, travel plus keeping in touch with family and friends nearby and worldwide. She also volunteers her help with a school in Columbia.

Melanie is the social worker for the Kimberley Youth Program. She has grown up skiing and horseback riding in Kimberley. When she isn't at work she can be found skiing at Kimberley, judging freestyle skiing competitions, or horseback riding near her home.

Doris is the custodian at various facilities including Mark Street Centre and KETC. She is always smiling and loves gourmet cooking. Doris makes her own home-made candles to add warmth and spirit when entertaining.

Wayne is the district principal for Adult Education, Kimberley Youth Program, Rocky Mountain Distributed Learning School, Rocky Mountain Sport School, and is the Trades Coordinator for the district. He loves all things that involve the outdoors, especially hunting and telemark skiing.

Arlene teaches Equine Studies. She loves horses and lives on a ranch with five horses. Arlene has her Masters Degree in teaching and has taught in Kimberley for many years. She was instrumental in creating the Horses in High School Program.
